About the Evergreen Fine Arts Festival

The Evergreen Arts Festival had its humble beginnings in 1966 when a group of the Charter members decided to put together an art sale on Main Street in downtown Evergreen. They had such fun and success that they tried it again the next year, and the next, and the next . . . So it went until the show outgrew the main street venue and moved to Heritage Grove Park on the grounds of the Hiwan Museum. The Evergreen Fine Arts Festival has become an important part of "Summer in Evergreen".

Artists from all over the U.S. now enter the Evergreen Arts Festival and find that it is one of their favorite shows to do. The artists find the community of Evergreen and its residents to be great art appreciators and are delighted by the interest shown in their work at the Festival. Live entertainment provided by performing arts professionals and a select group of food vendors round out the show to make for an enjoyable day out.

Schedule for 2012Prospectus for the 2012 Evergreen Fine Arts Festival is available starting December 1, 2011 on www.zapplication.org Important dates: Festival dates: August 25 - 26, 2012 with early set-up on August 24 Event runs from 10 am to 5 pm both days Deadline to submit application: February 29, 2012 midnight for early bird discount of $25 jury fee April 15, 2012 midnight $30 jury fee Applications only accepted online through zapplication Application requires 3 images of work plus one of booth Notification of acceptance no later than May 15, 2012 Questions or concerns directed to: Beth Erlund, Festival Coordinator 303.618.9834 22528 Blue Jay Rd, Morrison, CO 80465 email: tjaunting_aol.comCheck-In For ArtistsArtists are welcome to check-in, set-up tents and unload art on Friday August 24th. We will communicate the time this coming week.Members of the EAA will be present at check-in to provide information about the location of your assigned booth. They will also be gathering your signed waivers, coordinating parking for your vehicle(s) and offering any other assistance you may need.The Grove prohibits any vehicles from being driven on the grounds of the Grove. There is limited space in the parking lot, so we encourage you to be as efficient as possible unloading your vehicle and removing it to the parking we make available to accommodate others.All equipment and art needs to be transported to your booth location by foot. Trolleys, dollies and hand wagons are all permitted to help lighten your load. Be aware that the Grove lands are uneven in places, that trees may have low hanging branches and bushes and boulders are present. This bucolic setting is in keeping with foothills natural topography. Please do not attach or hang anything from any vegetation or trees.The EAA will attempt to have helpers available to assist with transporting your goods. If you will require assistance please notify us in advance so we can plan accordingly. No parking is allowed in the Grove parking facility during the day or overnight.Parking accommodations for artists are available. Further information on parking will be made available in advance of the event and at check-in Booth LocationBooth locations will be pre-assigned. You will receive a Grove layout map with your booth assignment by tbd. There is always contention for booth location. We will assign booth space in attempt to meet your requests. Requests will be considered on a first-paid basis. We encourage you to pay your booth fee, in full, as soon as possible. We have also taken in to consideration a mix of art categories. This ensures that 2D and 3D artists are intermingled.SecuritySecurity is on-site at the Grove 6:00 PM till early Friday and Saturday mornings when EAA members will be back. We have had no loss or damage to art in the past and we expect none this year however, EAA bears no responsibility, whatsoever, for loss or damage to artist goods left at the Grove or in the parking lot(s) throughout the show.Take Down The festival ends on Sunday the 26th at 5:00 PM. Please do not begin your take down until that time.Colorado Tax Information Evergreen is located in Jefferson County CO, where the sales tax rate is 4.6%. Artists are responsible to collect and report taxes on all sales. Artist Appreciation Dinner and Festival AwardsThe Evergreen Artists Association is proud to host their annual complimentary Festival Artist Appreciation dinner Saturday evening commencing after the close of the Festival.All artists and one guest are invited.We have arranged the same caterer as 2011. It was a popular event, so please be prepared to notify us in advance, or at the latest, at check-in if you will be attending. Festival award winners will be announced at the dinner. THE GROVE PROHIBITS PETS OR SMOKING ON THE PREMISES ~ NO EXCEPTIONS
